WindBorne is building what it calls a planetary nervous system: a global network of autonomous, long-duration sensing balloons paired with proprietary AI models that continuously improve humanity's understanding of Earth's atmosphere. Because the balloons collect new data in places where it wasn't previously available, WindBorne can provide earlier insight into hurricanes, atmospheric rivers, and other severe weather events before they reach populated areas. The end result of AI models powered by real data is forecasts that are materially more accurate than those available today.
