Antares Nuclear is developing small modular reactors (SMRs) capable of producing between 100 kilowatts and 1 megawatt of electricity, enough to power up to 750 homes. The reactors use TRISO fuel, which is a safer alternative to traditional nuclear fuel, and aims to bring its first electricity-producing reactor online next year.
