Company Description: OceanCycle works with a global network of brands, retailers, and manufacturers to maximize the use of ocean-bound materials in new products and find alternatives to single-use packaging that is difficult to recycle. Our Solutions: We have built a global infrastructure and network of partners to drive scale and tackle this problem in 3 ways. 1. Consulting: We help companies develop circular solutions that maximize the use of ocean-bound materials in products. From innovations in food packaging to fabrics to engineering-grade materials, we make it easy for companies to make better choices that are good for their sales and good for the planet. 2. Certification: We bring trust and transparency to the market by ensuring the full chain of custody of ocean-bound material from coastal collection through manufacturing — ensuing the material is actually ocean-bound and ethically collected. 3. Community Impact: We work closely with coastal communities on the front line of ocean plastic prevention conducting robust surveys and audits of collection centers and their surrounding communities. As we identify community needs and barriers to proper waste management, we invest our own resources and that of our partner companies to drive local impact with sustained results.
