Fermata Energy leverages electric vehicle (EV) batteries to provide energy storage for the electricity grid. Because EVs remain parked and unused much of the time, they are an underutilized asset. With Fermata Energy's bidirectional charging platform, the energy in EV batteries can be exploited with little-to-no incremental cost. By leveraging existing batteries they avoid much of the cost competing storage technology requires while providing vehicle customers a lower cost of ownership through shared grid storage revenue.
